These Terms govern your use of Muetual (the “service”), operated by evensys. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
The service
Muetual lets you and people you invite track shared spending on Expenses Sheets (expenses, categories, budgets, recurring rules, and members) on the web and mobile.
Your account
Sign-in is provided by Clerk. You’re responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live) to use Muetual, and provide accurate information.
Your content
You keep ownership of the data you put into Muetual. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it so we can run the service for you and the members you invite. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to share it.
Shared sheets
When you invite people to a sheet, they can see and (depending on their role) edit that sheet’s content. Amounts and expenses recorded in Muetual are for your own tracking; they are not a binding financial statement, invoice, or settlement between members. Sort out who owes what between yourselves.
Acceptable use
- Don’t misuse the service, disrupt it, or try to break its security.
- Don’t use it to store unlawful content or to infringe others’ rights.
- Don’t attempt to access data belonging to accounts or sheets you weren’t invited to.
Plans & payment
Muetual has a free plan and two paid subscriptions, Standard and Premium. The current prices, what each plan includes, and the length of any free trial are shown on our pricing page and in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions are sold through the app store you subscribe from (Apple’s App Store or Google Play) or, where offered, through our web checkout. That store, not Muetual, takes the payment and holds your payment details, and its own terms apply alongside these.
A free trial, where offered, converts into a paid subscription automatically when it ends unless you cancel before then. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the price then in force until you cancel, and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancel wherever you subscribed: your Apple or Google account’s subscription settings, or the billing portal linked in the app. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription, and deleting your Muetual account does not cancel it either.
Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment, under that store’s refund policy. We can’t issue refunds for a purchase we did not process, but tell us if something has gone wrong and we will help you sort it out.
We may change our prices or what a plan includes. A change never affects a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to your renewal.
Availability & changes
We’re actively building Muetual and may add, change, or remove features. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Muetual and evensys aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits arising from your use of the service.
Termination
You can stop using Muetual and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached or to protect the service and its users.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at evensys’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
